How does it feel to be treated as a child, that doesn't know the risk of motorcycling at high speeds? I'm glad your OK.

During the "oversized shorts" event you have to run up there on your bike, get the pants on, and ride back as soon as you can.

I did trackdays for years but this has nothing to do with street riding. And riding fast on streets has nothing to do with age or rationality. No one buys a 185hp superbike to crawl along. I understand what you are saying and I never would call you old or rotten as long as I dont know you well. I have sold my supersports bikes and I am now riding BMW's, meaning I have to go slow anyway Just kidding...
Thanks for thoughts, much appreciated.

PS. Am not a native speaker, what's a "10 over guy" ??
Freeway? looks like a two lane, two way roadway with unlimited access. You're frikkin lucky you're still alive. Rather than complain about someone else doing something unexpected, perhaps you need to reconsider your hobby, or at the very least reconsider your own role in this incident. The driver of the other vehicle should not have done what he did, but you are 100% at fault, and 100% responsible for your own riding style and safety. If you, in even the slightest, even the remotest, even a shadow of a doubt blame him, then you are destined to have more "incidents" and one of them may not end so well. Perhaps you should take up another hobby and find something you can do without risking your life foolishly.

Please explain what this means in relation to you?

I'm curious.....

I personally think riding without a helmet or drinking and riding are foolish, but I know many people who think that even riding a motorcycle across a parking lot is a death sentence.

Personal risk is defined differently and must be decided upon by each individual. If we allowed a collective choice on banning foolish actions I think there would be an end to motorcycling. Only about 3% of the population in the US ride.....what if they put the legality of riding motorcycles on public roads to a general vote? How many times, when you informed someone you ride, they followed up with "my friend, uncle, or whatever died on a motorcycle"? Ever hear that when you told someone you drove to their house? More people die in car accidents.

The foolish part was endangering others. That said, I try my best to go 100 MPH at least once a day. There is some risk in that.

Anybody want to talk about the relative dangers of motorcycling near farm animals?

This thread needs more photos, and less "let me tell you what you're doing wrong."

You know what they say about opinions, so what makes you think yours is going to be any different? Worry about your own business, and let others worry about theirs.
