Josh out of surgery !!! 10/23/07

Josh's mom and I have just talked with the neurosurgery team - at about 9:15 Pacific time, Josh was sent to recovery, with a successful implant of the screws and rods to stabilize his spine.

No cuts to the dura (that means less risk of menengitis)...

Another good job for the Desert Regional Medical Center team !!!!

We should be able to talk with him tomorrow

Now we will be looking into rehab - Thanks for all the prayers and notes!!!

Both River Rat and GT have talked about letting Josh borrow a laptop - by Thursday or Friday, Josh may be able to read the whole thread for himself !!!

Blessings to you all, funklab.dad

That's great news, I'm glad the surgery went well and the dura was intact. Something to be grateful for.

Good luck, Josh. You have a lot of people pulling for you.

That's great news. Funklab Mom & Dad you may want to check in to the Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta. They do great work for patients and it's not that far from Charlotte.
