Today was our first taste of some cooler weather after the blistering summer we’ve had in Florida…same in many other places I understand. It made for a great ride this morning for my 16yo son (in photo) and I on some of the scenic back roads around west central Florida. I hope it stays this way for awhile.

It looks like a nice fix.

Does it add much weight to the Sherpa?

Is it the traffic pattern, combined with hot and humid climate that require an oil cooler?

If traffic flow is pretty slow, that would contribute to low airflow for cooling the engine.

Just watch out for the shorter oil-cooler hose that looks like it's making contact with the exhaust header pipe.

Is there an internal oil passage that needs to be plugged to cause the oil to be diverted through the cooler? I haven't gone out to the garage to look at my SS, but I seem to recall seeing "bosses" on the cover where the cooler lines are attached to the engine with the banjo fittings.

My friend gave me the old oil tanks. I corrected it back to sherpa. 10$ is very cheap.

Looks like the kit price is $530, that's a lot of fresh synthetic oil changes.

Greetings Super Sherpa's. As of today I'm planning to be a minimalist, touring in USA. Any advice pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated.
