I am here in Illinois. LaSalle to be specific. 5 minutes from Starved Rock State Park. I have a new V Strom that brings back what riding is all about.

senior vision
I have been wearing two different contacts lately. It is called monocular correction. I have a nearsighted one and a farsighted one and it didn't take too long to get used to it. Your brain uses the best information from either eye and you get the full range. If your brain can adjust. The warning I got was against trying it at night for a while until I got used to it.
It works for me!

half mile over the boarder
Hey Mike, I ride the gravel roads S/SW of you on both sides of the border, plus some sand/dirt roads in Kankakee and Iriquois counties (IL). I end up near Morrocco or Kentland (?) and then take R41 north back home (Chicago).
Know of any good places to ride thereabouts on your side of the border? For that matter, how about one decent place for breakfast out in the sticks? (Slim pickins down there on either side!) Dana |
