I wonder if we could get a big discount if we got a decent size order together?

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. It's still a lot of money and I am not sure if I should be spending that at the moment.

Why don't you put up a poll to test the waters. Then we could approach them for a discount.

Just for the re-record: Don't expect HPN to reply via e-mail. HPN is a small, "old style" (in the best sense of the word!) manufacture.

They are probably submerged by mail requests, so if you are serious and you really something from them, it's best to send a fax or call them.

Not from HPN but from Race tech Germany

Hi Joerg,
The inserts are from RaceTech in Germany.
The mail I got was from info@hh-racetech.de
I don't know how to put together a poll, but I would want a set of them if we could get them at a reasonable price. (About 1/2 of what they are talking about!)

Yes, since I have already spent money on a top triple and damper for my GS, and I kinda want to keep the stock forks, and I would want to put a giant set of WP50's on another GS altogether, I would def consider going in on these if there was some way to get them down in price at all.

Having some compression and rebound adjustability and a good set of fork guts would be great.

I'm in if the price is reduced.

Just as an FYI, my WP 50mm front end, all in with custom triples is going to run ~$1K...

As of today, the Euro is at $1.33. Thats almost the same. I mean that puts the Racetech guts at only slightly more than than youre whole front end.. Your setup looks totally butch, Solo. I like it.

Is the /5 steering neck at all similar to the GS?

Actually, yes. I believe it is. They use the same bearings and the distance between bearing seats is 137mm according to some measurements from Renner - same as the other later frames measured by others. The only outlier was a R65 from that Anton measured. Same bearings, but a seat to seat distance of 130mm.

Well, that is very interesting news. Instead of a Maico front end, maybe i should go ahead and put one of these on the Foosa. Stop effin around

SH, that kind of top triple are you using for your stock forks?

One of Guy's HPM ones for stock GS. Its stock GS except for the handlebar mounts and steering damper mount are modeled off of a Yamaha 450 style, I think.
It Rocks.

Plus you are getting a good front brake for that grand. Which, to do with off the shelf parts would be around 500. Something to keep in mind.
