Well....Just when I thought it was time to hang it up it appears there's plenty of room for making more foolish gramatical errors! The really difficult time for me seems to be that I have two computers on line at the same time and that particular combination makes for God knows what in the way of ridiculous statements of seemingly little value to anyone living on planet earth. As HE would say, thenkurvermuch.... so, here I am alone for herself's personal viewing, and to anyone else in Moose Gap I say HI! I miss you guys and I'm coming home as soon as it thaws! It may take awhile but keep the faith, I love you! LL

PS - I hope you won't mind red Italian social statements....

Great ride, GREAT report. You must have lubed the splines just before you left to go that far with no FD failure.

Hey Vermin

Looking forward to seeing the off-road rat on the Ratbike zone in the near future.

shameless self promotion in the new year

I have a dream
OK we are all friends here right. I have a dream, I don't know if it can be realized. I would like to do a tour of America/Mexico off the grid. I would need a very reliable bike that was virtually valueless as far as humanity is concerned. I plan on turning the mechanical limitations into spiritual liberation. By that I mean dry rotted knobby tires and dirt bike gear ratio will make high speed, iron butt, oblivio travel absolutely impossible. I would be forced to associate with life in the dirt lane. I am flirting with the idea of not even getting a title or license. Failure mode? A ticket/impound. Jokes on them.

Fortunately a dear friend of mine donated the perfect tool.

I am busy putting in a low compression piston. The odds of me actually reassembling this fine unit correctly are microscopically small so you fussy type A personality types can stop worrying about the road worthiness of this scenario.

I have absolutely brilliant windshield and luggage plans if'n I can ever get the motor to cough again.

Needless to say there is no way Sweethang would condone the cartage of her offspring on this unit so the trip will have to wait until after next Junes (San Diego to wherever) trip with my 13 year old daughter (dollbaby) is over.

Happy New Year

Vermin
Excellent idea except for the windowshield. They clutter the bike, impair the view and impound the soul. Less is more. Embrace the elements: It'll help keep it realer.

(fwiw, half the world still gets around on those things built under license by Ji-Ling or somesuch Chinese marque).

Cant wait to read the observes from the teeming Vermin mind. Or is it the mind of teeming Vermin?

Whatever, you renew our hope for America.

Keep us posted, won't you?

love and kisses,
Uncle Miltie
