Suggested Bike for Vermin Fanatasy Road Trip

A BMW R65 sounds like what you need for that fantasy trip of yours.
I know of at least three that are/or have been around the world.
I bought one this May & it goes "almost" any where. It was the first platform for the GS models. Check 'em out.
Please consider compiling your writings. They are great.

BMW and Hillbilly music

I didn't want to reveal my sordid history with BMW but it has become necessary. I once owned a BMW R100/RT that ate clutch/mainshaft splines like a daycare baby eats PEZ candy (convienently every time I got near the Mississippi river 500 miles from home).
At which point I would have to offer myself up to the local BMW dealer for absolute scorn and derision.

If I beat myself with chains for the appropriate amount of time (a length of time only known to Ralph in the backroom) they would allow me to mess up their pristine palms with 500 of my hard earned 1987 dollars. After the second time this happened I put the thing up for sale for pop bottle money just to off it. A guy and his wife showed up. I didn't bother with the previsit warmup because I never had any trouble. Needless to say Whirriirrrrirrrirrrrirrrirrrirrr click so I took a spark plug out to check for spark and when I wasn't looking the guy had his wife put her face down by the plug to check for a spark while he hit the starter button spraying the contents of a flooded cylinder right into her left (open) eye at which point she screams and starts running around the yard in circles. I was stone broke with 3 kids and my stomach fell out the right pant leg of my discount, wrangler, (i can't afford levi) jeans. My wife did some eye washing and gentle PR and they left. I think I later gave the bike to a pizza guy as a tip.

The dealer gave me the feeling I was genetically inferior, too inferior to own their products. So I went into a deep depression and joined a carnival and started listening to Hillbilly music.

One thing lead to another and because I have no discernable musical talent and cool rhinestone outfits a bunch of guys surrounded me that had talent and no rhinestone outfits and we tortured some country classics.

So if you don't like this video blame BMW

(the vast majority of this post is true, the chronology has been changed to confuse the innocent)

I am loving this thread. Just finished the initial report. YOU NEED to get some writing transcripts to a publisher.

Thanks for waking me up. "Weasels Ripped My Flesh." You took me back 30 years with your attitude and subtle references! And you're only 49 with such a good draw for obscure titles and putting them in great spots! WOWSERs.

Sorry DL scarecrow

Sorry about the lack of follow up video. The Willies are rare creatures and seldom get caught on any recording device. We drive the paparazzi mad as we are very elusive. Needless to say you won't find out if my "carpet matches my curtains" in a revealing photo of me getting out of a Bentley.

Today was s'posed to be the first day back at work after the holidaze. Well, things have a way of working out for the best sometimes. My kids caught the chickenpox delaying their return to the educational system and my buddy in Tejas emailed the link to this report. Thanks for giving me a new years resolution, "be more like vermin".
