As unofficial Upper Midwest (USA) co-ordinator, it looks like we've got Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan (ChuckS - are you UP or down south?) covered. There are a couple of volunteers for Western Montana, so we'd need a gap filled in between. Bacon could go south from there and come back up or he could come across the Dakotas. Depending on timing, a trade could be made at the BMW Int'l Rallye in Gilette, WY.
I'll go through the complete thread this week or weekend and try to come up with a complete list of coverage and gaps. Bohdan

I can get the pig passed along the TN AR MS KY MO area. He needs a photo at the Graceland gates and maybe even a shot on Elvis' grave while he is here.
We need to post a map on here and get every country he visits colored pink. Maybe inside the US he needs to visit every county. I also ride a few times a year in Taiwan, so I can get Formosa filled in piggy pink.

Bacon around the world...
Gazza: Great to see things are off to a great start.... I have been off-line for a bit, but have returned, so should be on top of things here. When are you planning to send Bacon to the US?

Map Idea 1 - We could create an account here .....
http://www.travbuddy.com/widget_map.php Publicly post the account info so the "BACON Rider" can post the state / country Map Idea 2 - Use google frapper ... http://www.frappr.com/ All points of interest photos, handoff photos, etc .... Or we could do both .... shrug ... just an idea I know "to many hands in the cookie jar" just causes confusion so the Organizers can roll with it if they choose! Whenever BACON gets in the PNW US I know there is a large crew in the area more than willing to show him around

Sounds to me like SaPPeR has volunteered to manage the map!

I love the map idea...I think the second option is best. Not only do we get more options and usability, but I see Google and Frappr as the likeliest to be around for the astonishingly long journey of this little piggy.

If Bacon feels the need to tour Tassie a bit I think I can accomodate him
However if he feels the need to just head north, I wish him the best of luck. I'm sure he'll meet some lovely pigs in the top end. |
