Go for it! What could go wrong? Seriously, you already know two guys who are going to be there. Quiz them for info on the track and lines to take, and you should be fine.

Speaking of hare scrambles, does anyone know what became of the Mantua Ohio one? Did they move, or just quit it?

Quail is pretty much flat, as in Calista Flokhart Flat with only a couple hills so small a kid on a tricycle could climb them.
I've heard something like that before.

Do it! Hell, I'll ride it with you.

A goal to train for probably would help me drop a few pounds. Biggest obstacle at this point is a ride. Don't think the BMW is up for this.

I'll throw the milk crate on the DR and run with ya! There was a thread around somewhere with a guy that ran a 1200GS on an enduro. He rode it there, took off the luggage and mirrors then ran the race. Put the stuff back on and rode home.

The owner of the local motocross track has expressed interest in me taking my 1200GS Adventure out on the course. Hilarity (and injury) would ensue.

God Bless.

Hare scramble RACE. If someone comes up behind you, they must be faster. So pull over and let them go by. Otherwise just keep riding. If you don't get hurt or hurt the bike you will have fun. And it's good for the family. Ride to finish not to win. And be careful.
