In polite response: different strokes for different folks. My 650 strom sat with insurance and plate for months unridden. It did not call me. I rode an old BMW instead. I loved my old KLR way more. The weestrom had all the luggage and tricks. Who knows why? Fuel injected, six speed, brand new. Just not for me.

I sold it to my friend who puts on the Flint Ridge ride. He and his wife ride that thing all over!
I can't get enough of my G650GS. Looking at numbers it's darn near the same thing.

Are you running the KTM aluminum skid plate with the 4 screws on the bottom and one on the front above the filter?

I think it's getting close to 70k. I was kidding on the trade, Barber is full of rare sweet bikes. I doubt I'd sell it since for one, it's been "used" and not worth much and a new bike costs too much, even used. If I got a new bike, it'd be another 950 anyhow.

I agree. I've ridden bikes people hated and never understood why and hated bikes others loved. I want to try one of those Tenere's some day.

I currently ride a 1997 F650st. The bike is pretty much prestine, I have heated grips, throttle lock, the touring shield, and two givi hard cases. Bike runs and rides great, I just see that NEW shiny Strom with the extra gear FI and more HP. I have only had the BMW for a little over 2 years I don't think I have put 1,000 miles on it. I think I might not do the bike justice if I don't keep it at least for another season and truly ride it........
