Thanks guys,

This is the oldest know photo of our escapades, circa 1979, possibly 1980 since I removed the lights and installed a Preston Petty Rear Fender. I still have all those lights, wiring and signals in the garage. (no, I'm not a hoarder)

Me and 79 XL125 Lt - Dan and 79 CR125 Elsinore Rt

Wow that blows Mike. Hopefully his son and family are working through their grief. Hopefully his son keeps riding with you, I'm sure you have a lot of great tales about his dad.

I concur, the sudden death of a lifelong friend does, in fact, blow.

It is stuff like this that makes me reflect on getting as early a start as possible sharing experiences with Alex. Because Dan and his son rode together, his son has a load of memories of stuff they did together. Memories like that matter, the shared experiences they had will make his memories of his dad more powerful, and keep them clear. Because it's not just a memory of something he saw his dad do, or heard him talk about, they were out there together.

Thanks again, You're right Matt , our tomorrow's may stop before we're ready. Similar to the song "Cat's in Cradle", get them while they're young. My worse fear in life because of my 2 wheeled adventures, my parents would out live me.

BTW, If you want them to like Chinese, don't accidentally YouTube "cats in the kettle"...

Eh, Alex is like me, he eats anything, probably wouldn't bother him.

No, been browsing for a used or discounted 350XCF OR 500EXC. looked at big bore kits, stroked and bored to 350 is nearly -$2k, add that to what i might get for mine, I'm only $1k plus less than a left over 350SX.

Sorry to hear about your friend Michael. A couple of my friends have passed in the last few years, it does get easier, after a while... cherish your memories and ride on...

Mike - sorry to hear - always sucks (or blows if you prefer) and there is no good way to go at any age. Hopefully his son and family come through as ok as possible. You've been down this road too much of late.

Tomorrow should be interesting, I'll be one of the bearers and Dan was not a petit boy. Hopefully there'll be some healthy young horses helping out.

Anyone up to getting lost from Brush Creek south this weekend? May go play with the twat this weekend.

**twat- Trans Western Allegheny Trail, aka Ohio trail, sorry, I needed to inject some kind of humor

My condolences Mike.

Let me know when you are riding. I plan to get out both days this weekend.

New BMW GS - $15,800
Pierced radiator from riding with Gorman - $ Unobtanium
Parking your bike at starbucks with the ""I just rode the entire TWAT look" (or better yet a sticker) - priceless

Meef - the ADV OH stickers were cool - start working on the ADV TWAT graphics, please.
