I've been on rt 16 from Marion to Tazwell. Great road, but watch out for the coal trucks on weekdays.

If you get down past Tazewell stay away from Burkes Gardens, nothing to see over there.
If you decide to still venture S past Marion there nothing to see over Mt Rogers and the FS roads up there.
Whatever you do, don't take 603 Fairwood/Laurel Valley 58 from 16 in Troutdale over to Damascus.

Thanks for the "warnings". Wink, wink.

Maybe I'll run into you. Not sure we've met. If you see my black 2012 650 Vstrom up there look me up. I don't think we've met. (Could be wrong about that).

I do not believe we've met. I'll be on an F800 with a red seat. Not likely to be any others there like that. Departure time will be dictated by when I get done with my daughter's soccer game tomorrow morning. I'll check my PM's before I head out.

I'll wave if I see any of you today, headed up to Oberlin for lunch with some other vintage Brit bike types. Hopefully they won't mind the modern Brit bike

I didn't quote your massive ass pic, but my bags look oddly smaller than yours in it, despite the fact that they are the same size and the bikes are right next to each other. Wierd.

The weather is typical British, too.

I have ridden in warmer and drier weather in Britain.

I went yesterday, Anybody else go? Not many people there, rode an FJR, super 10 and FZ8. Then i got back on my KTM, and ran the same route as the test bikes. I picked the right bike. .

I could see myself owning an FJR someday though, like flying on a carpet above the road. Awesome bike, but handled like a dumptruck compared to the motard.
