I wouldn't exactly call it "the gnar"... Where are all of you people. The camp Manotoc pics, the 271 bridge pics, all in my back yard. Can't believe I never see any of you guys anywhere. Jon is the only one I know. BTW Jon, how many cool bikes do you have anyways?? Hope to meet you all one day. Anyone want to go to WV this weekend?

It's a revolving door.... You are welcome to ride any of them.

Thanks. We need to get together sometime. If the weather cooperates one day this weekend I'm planning on putting in some miles and heading down to the New River Gorge area of WV. Probably slabbing it down, exploring and taking the long way back. Not firm yet. Could camp overnight or maybe just a long day. Also have friends camping in the Laurel Mt. area of PA this weekend so that is a possibility. That site would be free. My wife and kids are out of town this weekend so...

New tag

The Tub, yeah, saw it, had to tag it. This is a little north-eastern of a restaurant that you would figure would have live animals walking around in it.

That would be a long one day trip. I camped Beverly a few weeks ago and rode 16 down to the new river and back to Loudonville the same day. It would have been better to have camped one more night in the new river area and enjoyed the riding that area has to offer. 16 is a fun road.

While there you need to ride 39 over to VA and back.

I think I'm going to ride it across and then wind my way up through the Monogahela National Forest into the Canaan Valley / Blackwater Falls area and maybe camp there for the night if it's getting too late. There are some free/wild campsites along the roadside in the Timberline / Snowshoe area of the Canaan Valley. Then get up Sunday and make my way home.

I may end up riding to Parkersburg and then taking 33 across past Elkins and up through the Canaan Valley / Davis area and north ending in Laurel Mt. State Park in PA for the night. Puts things right around 400 miles w/out any side trips and allows for a little more flexibility along the way. There are some great detours to take along the way depending on how the day is going and I can camp w/ friends in the evening then try to find something interesting on the way home Sunday morning. I'm always up for a riding partner if anyone is interested, otherwise I'm fine by myself also. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I hit what i think was a peacock on that road.

Ride down spruce knob... that is a fun road once it opens up from single lane and you don't have to worry about an RV around the blind corner.

Or ride gravel on the opposite side of spruce knob, thats fun too.
