Well, he was a rookie back then!

I only had a donor ligament screwed in and meniscus repair an hour after purchasing my Transalp, nothing major.

The worse part of that surgery was looking at a brand new bike being delivered while my knee was immobilized then hobbling past it for weeks till I could walk on it.

Then finally, I get to ride it and I tore the damn seat with my knee brace.

Welcome. A good friend of mine who is an inmate and fellow Vstrom owner lives in Clinton. Nice area where he's at. Anyone up for a ride? I need to get out.

Can I get on the list to buy it from Jon? A friend of mine wants it for his really short wife. Lets just say my 10 year old is only an inch or so shorter...

My Vstrom is getting restless so I was thinking of going for a ride Sunday morning. What did you have in mind?

Yes I know things have changed and procedures are better, my last three knee jobs were done on a Tuesday AM, had me up and walking on it that afternoon, and I was shooting trap that Sunday. Yes it hurt but not near as much as it did before he fixed it. Never needed a brace after surgery, but I didn't have anything added or replaced, just cut out the bad and polish up the rough shit and put it back together, simple quick and clean.

Will last until you do some dumbass stunt, like play baseball with the kids and slide into a base, or jump down 3 to 5' off something and think on the way down "maybe I shouldn't of done this" then when you land you know you shouldn't have. Oh well they say wisdom comes with age, NO it just takes that long to learn all this shit.

Yeah, Mala is going through that right now. She hopped off the pickup last Saturday while unloading her new NX650 and tore her meniscus. She is on a therapy regime, and being a minor tear therapy can be very successful.

I re-injured the same knee with a small tear, Violet snipped it out and was pedaling the next day. I hope hers heals fast

No problem. At least we tried. I'll probably go exploring by myself this afternoon.
