I have to think Mathias is in the same boat as far a showroom quality. Great shop all around though.

Sill's, All Season's and Mathias are all pretty old dealerships and seem to have a pretty loyal following, cheap as I am I've spent money in all three.Have only been to Cleveland BMW twice and twice I walked out empty handed.

If that is the case, AES will never be a BMW or Harley dealership. Besides, we only sell 2 street legal bikes, the 350 and 500 XCF-W's and they are made for dirt too so they fit right in with our dusty, far from frilly place. I passed a KTM shop in Alabama last year that was in a run down general store / gas station from an era long gone away. Unfortunately, they were closed, he was at his other job.

I don't understand the All Seasons issue, I like the place but I am betting BMW wants their "own" section or laid out so they stand apart from the asian bikes.

The ride this morning got tricky, 12 gallons of gas and 3 cases (9 gallons~) of motor oil on the 950 in the wind. I stopped to take a picture then nearly got stuck trying to get going again.

Been there twice myself. Bought nothing but did eat some free hotdogs at an open house. Would eat their free food again but no plans to shop there.

Exactly, but there is also those dirty Italian Guzzis blocking the view of German excellence.

My dealer experiences for anybody that cares:
I really like All Seasons and they are right around the corner from me. My brother has bought 2 bikes from them, a MG and a BMW. I tried to deal with them a couple times on new bike purchases, they wouldn't budge on price for a demo Venture and I hesitated too long on my CRF250L. I went in to buy the CRF and they literally just sold it, buyer was still there. Hardings treated me well on the CRF purchase. I've bought 2 bikes and a scooter from Rousch in Medina, typical Big Box store experience, and that's all I have to say about that. Back in the day Jerry Ferrell was my go to dealer, bought a new Concours from them in '96.

Haven't been riding much lately, I should have joined you guys last Saturday or at least met up with Alan & Screezy in Danville Sunday. I'm a lame ADV riding buddy.

And who is this Meef guy everyone is reviling or not reviling ???

I think all this talk about the dealer/manufacturer relationship is going to appear in an article in Midwest Motorcyclist next month. May as well use my soap box for good, and I think the publisher will give me a pretty long leash to write how I feel. I may ask some of you for quotes.

So pretty much a&f? I saw pretorn and worn jeans there in my teens once... $200 a pair. Hell,I'd sell mine for the cost of replacements at walmart.

No, more like Macys with their price tags on steroids and a few lines of products that you can't get at the "lesser" department stores. Similar to a snooty BMW dealer, they will happily kiss your fanny if you look like you have money to spend. It would be my pleasure to empty your wallet today, sir.

If anyone can use a 21" Avon Distanza (90/10) with 50% of the tread left, come and get it.

Since the weather has turned nice as the weekend approaches I thought I would bump the most recent tag.

I'm unlikely to be able to get away this weekend but someone might be playing.

Very sad about Kurt Caselli last night, especially the circumstances surrounding his death.

Wow - we all know the risks and Baja is a bit nuts, but to be taken out by a trap - that really sucks. A great rider who will be missed like too many before him.
