From Cycle World- "Information regarding the incident is still somewhat vague, but it’s been widely reported that the factory-backed KTM rider hit a man-made “booby trap” at mile marker 796 (of the 883.1-mile race) while leading and while involved in a close battle with the eventual winning JCR Honda Team. Caselli was reportedly flown to a hospital in Ensenada with major head injuries. KTM’s second entry reportedly withdrew from the race after the accident" Very sad.

Damn. He was a great rider and ambassador for the sport. I was looking forward to him battling for the lead at Dakar this year.

Sad all around. The latest is that it may have been a small animal collision, and not a booby trap.

Correct, Team Kawasaki said it was not a booby trap, it was a racing accident

If anyone is interest in a Garmin Zumo 350LM with only a dozen miles on it and at nearly half off, get in touch via pm. I am waiting to find out of a 390LM will be available and if so, I'll unload this one for the 2nd unit.

Pre or post castration? I believe it makes a difference.

Quick question. What would be a better bike for NE Ohio. A KTM 690 enduro or a KTM 990 Adventure? I know there are a lot of variables on intended uses etc... I'm just looking for a few opinions. Thanks.

It just depends on what you're getting into. If you're logging lots of pavement miles, the 990 is way better because of the wind protection, bigger tank, better seat, TALL 6th gear, etc. The 690 would be way better though for trail use, especially in our loosy, muddy conditions. If I lived out west though (where the dirt is hardly ever muddy, and there are dirt roads galore), I'd get the 990 for sure.

Bikes to go in flea market

I'm going to take a year off from motorsports and re-evaluate if I need to twist the throttle or if I'd be just as happy pedaling. I'm going to clean house in the meantime and figured I'd offer up the inventory to you gents first.
'99 Husqvarna WR250
'98 Honda XR70R
'95 BMW R1100RSL is still up for grabs, but I'll be reducing the price and adding a bunch of spares.

I'll hold on to most of my dirt gear, just in case, but I have some kids gear to get rid of and some street gear to part with once the BMW is gone, or it can go with the BMW.

PM me if you have any interest.
