Ah yes.... Reminds me of the first day I ever took a bike off-road.
Please elaborate. I am unable to find a correlation.

Welcome to the thread Clayton

OK - that would make three of us willing to say WTF and do it on big bikes with street tires.

Anyone else? Chip ??? , drop that rake and sign on.......you need a one day adventure!
Check out pics from DS ride planning thread.

From the looks of the pics - Id say we would want knobbies! Also depends on how much rain falls that week. No fun sliding down a 150' hill on a GS with 607's

I just checked out the latest pictures over in the other thread. If conditions are dry, I'm in. If not, I will probably pass.

I'm running the new Conti Trail Attacks and they need a good offroad test. This should be a good opportunity.

That D/S ride looks like fun... to ride on someone elses bike.
My bike is currently not set up for that kind of stuff.
Dry conditions I would probably be okay, wet, forget about it.
Actually I have been riding some local power line trails lately and having some fun doing it, but that is close to home. If I want to do rides like that one I need to fab up some case guards, and a skid plate and work my mind around to the thought of putting a rear tire on the front. Prolly oughta just pick up a real D/S bike.

Anyone want to buy an MX bike or have something to trade

This is what I broke my ass on, which prompted me to retire form MX and pick up the GS. ....... and that is how I ended up in this forum.

It is an 06 YZ450F. $3500 I am selling it and the Motopro Lift (attaches to hitch as in pic) - must have close to 9K in it. Great bike and car lift. Just add balls and your ready to clear a 90 double.

63 - the year I was born, another reason I shouldn't be on an MX track.

ANOTHER SUBJECT -

Anyone interested in riding this Sunday? Head down to Carrolton for breakfast and get lost on some back roads / find some basic dirt?

I might be able to. I'll let you know later in the week. Carrolton is about an hour West from my place.

1) Here is a picture of what my bike looked like its first day off-road
2) You can see in the picture that it has 10% tires on it (not tkc's)
3) It is the same bike as you are riding
4) These are some of the guys you would be riding with on the 21rst

Hope that helps.....

I may be up for that ride on Sunday depending on whether (weather) I can get my chores done on Saturday. Carrollton is my usual destination when I head south as I have a buddy who lives down there and the roads are pretty rockin'. Of course you have to watch out for the Sheriff down there, he is pretty active. I already had a ride half planned with a couple of freinds anyway.

Stofte - You've seen the route and know some of the guys, knowing it is rideable with the 607's on a GS is great advance knowledge - Thanks

Entertainment this wknd.

For those of you south of Clevo...
The Rhonda's are playing @ Jimmy's Cafe in Cuyahoga Falls tonight and Saturnight @ Troutman Winery in Wooster.
The Rhonda's are a great girl group who play a mix of americana, country and blues, all original. Some of the members of this band also play in the Mo' Mojo Mama band which is a teriffic zydeco Cajun band.
No I have no connection with these bands, I am just a fan.
Check it out man....
