So, yesterday I went for a ride with a former coworker who just bought a KLR to go along with his GSXR. I think he has seen the light and hopefully he will join us soon in this silly little game. He is waiting on his Aerostich to arrive so naturally we went for a ride in the rain to soak his sport leather. We collected a couple of file photos and made it out to Deerfield before turning north and heading home. Pretty soggy most of the way but really no big deal if you are geared up right.

Well I'm back home, sorry for the mix up, did not know there were two crossings on Hickory, and did not pay close enough attention to Google Earth when I looked this up.

Just who do I send the $15.00 gas bill to?

with that view ridge top wise, looks a lot like Cub Run or Creighton Ridge, over near Stafford...
I leased a farmhouse and 100 acres for many years on Rt 145 (@ twp rd. 53), and had mega land to hunt and ride, all owned by B&N Coal.

house got burned down by the Infamous Tommy Lee Dillon...google that freak if you wanna chilling history.

Got to play the matching game to see if your photo matches the original tag. It's not google earth's fault if you are looking in the wrong place.

Hey, I know, but it was raining pretty hard when I got there this AM, so it looked good and I shot a pic and got out of the rain.

You guys up there have a real advantage over us (me anyway) country boys, cause I don't know much about the big cities. I spent hours looking for that crossing, and without the hint from ScienceOfDirt, I don't think I would of ever found it, let alone know there were two crossings.
Plus I'm still struggling with the phone, but it's getting better, the second trip up there today when I tried to post the tag Tapatalk went down and it took me a couple of minutes to get back on the forum.

Just little things that aggravate the hell out of me that I need to over come. Oh and by the way we'll see how good your memory is at 66. HaHa.

Game On!!

Dave

I just poked around on google map following RR tracks inside Akron till I found a crossing with a tree name. A little streetview and... Whalah! Took about 15 minutes. But, yeah, I wasn't going to take the time to do that yesterday in the rain. For some reason street view doesn't work very well on the android tablet.

That having been said, I am getting nowhere with the new tag...

I am impressed you all found it to be honest. There are plenty of "tree" streets in Akron and the photo was pretty generic and tough but I tend to like the difficult ones.

As for the current tag all the clues you need are there but if you leave from the last tag on Hickory Street you can make it to the new tag in as few as 2 turns and a little trip around about. While there are only a few turns the road names change several times.

I was busy this weekend, but anytime you're down this way shoot me a message. Even if I can't meet up I can connect roads for you if I know where you want to go. There are some nice loops down this way.
