High-Mount Front Fender For 1999-2006 Tigers

Okay Gents, here we are...

In stock form, there is one brake hose from the front brake master cylinder to the front left caliper, then a short crossover hose from the left caliper to the right. This crossover hose needed to be eliminated in order to properly mount and utilize a high-mounted motocross-type front fender.

First to be dealt with was the removal of the front brakes crossover hose, which links the front left caliper with the front right. I decided to utilize a full-length hose for each caliper, with the hoses stacked at the master cylinder.

All this required was swapping the 31mm double-stack banjo bolt on the left caliper with the single-stack 22mm banjo bolt on the master cylinder.

Then I ran a full-length hose to each caliper, with a hose running along each fork leg.

Like this, but with a bike attached to it.

Before...

And after.

Stretch, you ROCK!

Uhhhh........I'd like to place my order for the fender brace and spacers....

You tell me how much and I'll send it....plus some local Boulder micro-brews!

Where did you get the other full length brake line? Dealer or somewhere else?

Also, did you use the existing threaded holes on the underside of the tripleclamp? What size screws did you need?

That will look awesome with some knobbies! Can't wait!

I've put together a kit which includes the fender (black, red, or silver), mount and brace (which is designed and hand-made for this specific fender), the machined-aluminum spacers, another long brake hose, crush washers for the brake hose fittings, and every nut and bolt (in stainless).

It's a good thing you don't have TKC's mounted, my computer isn't drool proof! Nice job Stretch. Now just figure out how to apply a silver film to the windscreen (I've tried, it's tough) and I'll move you into "Tiger hero" status!

The kit will run a bit less than $200, and will include everything needed to bolt right on to a Girlie.

Those who would be interested in buying said kit should PM or e-mail me, as I don't want to spam the boards here.
Spam my ass...post it in Vendors along with pictures of what you did...we got your back.

I think I just found my next project.
Running the dual feed on the brakes didn't change the braking?

Your an inspiration.
