Fantastic photo's, beautiful people, incredible landscapes and great story telling. Ride reports don't get any better than this.

Thanks.

One of the best I've read... thanks for the taking the time to write it up.

Photo Issues?

Hey!? What happened to all the photo links here... just a temporary server error or did something happen. Came back to re-read this as I'm heading toward the Angola border -- no I won't ride that route -- but just trying to put things in context. Now the photos aren't loading?

Must be a local issue for you, Allan. They're smug hosted, and showing up here.

No. And as a matter of fact, MY smugmug isn't coming up, while metaljockey's is. So there must be some partial-problem with their servers.

You're not crazy...

Yeah. They are not coming up here, either.

Well that's putting a lot of faith in judgement! I'm sure it'll be sorted by the time I wake up!

Amazing trip and write up. I felt a lot of emotion myself reading about meeting your new friends at the club. Those moments when you learn that you were enemies at one time, but yet there together enjoying time together...what an unforgettable experience.

Thanks for taking us with you on your journey

Absolutely loved your ride report.....what a great experience. We all know how difficult it is to photo and document a trip...even under the best of circumstances and yet you have managed to do an incredible job under very difficult circumstances. THANKS for your efforts and persistence that made it possible for you to share this story with all of us. You did a masterful job and your efforts are greatly appreciated!!

The other freaky thing we must understand is, the people have much less money than the average person on this forum, but they are not "poor", they don't have as much belongings as us, but that does not make them poor. They measure value in cattle, a 125cc motorcycle will cost them 4 cows. That's their lifes and that's how they live it, full out. You are their equal and they treat you that way, your wealth means bugger all to them.
chock full of reality checks and wisdom. particularly the last sentence.

not a bad ride report.

I give it 5 Naomi's.

I started reading this report the first day it was up. I knew it was going to be great so I made a mental note to read it later and forgot about it. Having now read it, I won't ever be able to forget about it.

You guys rule. Thank you.
