Talking I got my Caberg Trip Today!!

So far so good! I ordered the medium which seems to fit me perfect. Normally I would be a small (56cm nugget), but Caberg’s usually run a little small.

I can’t believe the world of difference from the Justisimo! This thing is light, lighter than my Nolan 100E.

The peripheral seems to be good but not as good as the Nolan. There may be 1cm difference on either side. I’m used to keeping my head on a swivel just the same. The seal at the top of the visor also looks promising. It is a gutter type system , so hopefully it passes the Pacific North Wet test. We will see.

I’ll be commuting in it tomorrow morning. More to follow.

A Caberg dealer , with a UK connection was worth a shot but a dead end . At least for now.
This is the response I received :

"I have never heard of the Caberg Trip helmet so sorry but I can't help
you there.
REgards
Rosemary"

Otherwise, just responses to other things I asked about in my email to them.

Oh well. It was worth a try.

BTW Sarah - I too have an XT225 , an '06 model I purchased this past May. Its been a fun little bike , but has taken some getting used to. Normally I pass 80-90 % of the folks on the highway, now I get passed by 99.8%. The only bike I have close to it is a GasGas trials bike all others have been street bikes. Hopefully I'll soon have the cash to get it outfitted out for some actual backroads/trail riding and camping.

Best regards,
David

Not sure if this link was posted already to this thread. But if you'd like to learn more about the Caberg Trip check the review at this link:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motor...t/caberg-trip/

Multiple views of the helmet, including a youtube video, as well as comments. Thought is - that perhaps it will be imported to the USA as a replacement for the Justismo, once the existing stocks of Justismos are gone. But of course that is only speculation.

David,

Thanks for getting back to us on the NC shop. It seems like ordering from the UK works out just fine in case we decide we want one now.

I'm having a blast on the Yamaha, so much less stress on the trails. But I still managed to fall on some slick creek rock on Saturday and break a mirror mount. Good news is I picked the bike up without even a grunt and powerpartsplus.com has 20% off on oem parts so it was less than a $5 boo-boo. I can't get by that cheap and easy when I fall and break something on the F650. But the 225 does provide plenty of time to see the countryside travelling down the highway!

Sarah

Thumb Lovin' My Trip!

Ok,

It's been about 1000 miles and various types of Pacific North Weather.
I must say this helmet is great. Light, Comfortable and Quiet. No Fog, but occational moisture build up on the inside of the shield.
I like it so much i gave it the seal of approval.

I just ordered one from MSG Bike gear. Nice, helpful guy and is getting them out for 89.99 + 25 shipping so it's just under 240 US.

Congrats Tuf, I think you will be very impressed with both MSG and the helmet. I love mine more every time I pop it on!

Sizing and Pricing

I received mine last week. Out of the box, I was impressed with build quality and this sucker is pleasantly light. I purchased it from these guys:

http://bikergear.co.uk/product_info....roducts_id=159

Excellent service and very fast shipping. Shipping was charged at 35 GBP. Total charge was $260.

Unfortunately, it is too small for me. I measured my head at 56cm which would put me in a size small. I can get the small on my head, but it is too tight to even consider riding with it, especially at the back of my head. I should have purchased a medium.

For reference, my two current hemlets are HJCs. I wear a small in the Symax Modular, and I wear an XS in the standard full face. I have tried on a Mutitec and the best fit was a small with medium cheek pads. I hope this helps with sizing for others.

If you have a little noggin, mine will be for sale in the FM soon as I do not want to bother with shipping it back to the UK.

The Trip is supposed to fit true to size. Try this sizing guide.
