That is one trick bike, more of a retro-moto-beast than a streettracker, but very well executed. I didn't really get if it started silver or red though. The green/silver Elsinore look is really well done, I hope that is how it ended up.

Yoshi Kosaka's, Fumio Itoh tribute bike.
Not sure which one of the yamahas I like the best, Yoshi's or John Stein's.
Both are great attempts to recreate the esence of Catalina in the day.

The rider in question is Gary Nixon a former AMA Champ from the late 60s- 70s period. One hell of a flat tracker and road racer (usually mounted on Triumph) !

1971 Triumph T120R Flat Tracker Built by Rick Sipes. Machine work by Jimmy Nichols of Star Cycles, Paint by Carlson Creation, All in AZ. Sold at Mid American Auction in Las Vegas on Jan 7th for $12,500.00. there were other great bikes auctioned off for far less than what the builders had in them. I bought my XS 650 here last year.

How's this for interesting? CB750 Flat Track Racer. sold At the Mid American Auction in Las Vegas on Jan 6th. Four cylinders makes for some real fun.
