Nowra-Batemans Bay-Araluen 6th Oct Aus
I had planned a ride for the 6th of October and had 3 other takers who joined me.
Myself and Al, Buell Uly left Nowra at 8.30 in warm weather to head to Batemans Bay and meet Adam, 640 Adv and Dave, Wee-strom. The clouds were rolling in by the time we got there and we were a bit worried about rain. As I Al and myself got some fuel, Dave and Adam went on to Nelligen pub to wait for us. ![]() From there Dave on the Wee-strom took the lead and lead us through some really nice country. ![]() ![]() ![]() Al on the Buell was having a ball and next it was time for a nice little creek crossing. By the time I got the camera out he nearly all the way across. ![]() ![]() ![]() From there it was a steep climb out and then onto some more nice flowing tracks. ![]() ![]() After a bit of rest we decided to get a little bit of video. As is always the case, the part around the corner would have been better. Adam on the 640 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi-31Zew24Q Al on the Buell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw7GxA3JRlA And Dave on the Wee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQr4NztdVAo Adam has some more footage from further on. After that it was into Araluen for one of the best Hamburgers I have ever had. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch. ![]() ![]() After a big lunch, Al showed us how to start a Buell. I love that sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsErO3Vj68Y From there Dave and Adam headed back to Moryua, with Adam going on to Bega. While Al and myself headed towards Braidwood. We made the fun twisty climb out of the Araluen Valley to be greeted by a very cold wind. ![]() Fueled up again. The Buell used 2 litres less fuel than my 950 From there we headed back through Nerriga towards Nowra. Just after Nerriga it started to rain a little and Al's dust managed to make me very dirty by the time I got home. ![]() Thanks for a great days ride guys. I think it was about 360kms all up for me.This is part of where we went.

New to vids
Ok, I'll give this a try. Here's a very short vid of Al's Buell, sounded friggin' horny up close or burbling along in the distance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6FEE_tY1v0 And here's Andrew on the 9 fiddy (custom pipe set-up which also belts out a nice tone) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feCHYi-XLV4 Sorry Dave, I farked up while downloading and somehow erased the wee-strom . The floor polishing piccy come up well though! Hope the sound comes out ok, my soundcard is 'toasted' on my hard drive for some reason. Too much Acca Dacca I think I reckon those lads hootin' along in the ute (with bikes on back) were shit scared of what they heard! You lads did bloody well on those roadies! Gotta great trek ya all might like when time prevails, keep in touch and keep it up-right!
