we will be riding down through slovenia, croatia, sebia and bulgaria on our way to the black sea in may 08 and back through romania,hungary, slovakia and the czech republic on the way back.

who wants a visitor or two

marty if you pm me we can discuss tactics and maybe a meet up on route
our plan is to b&b most of the way but also to try and meet local guys from this forum as we go, we don't plan on invading peoples homes but some useful tips on accomodation and a couple of beers would be great

I don't really want to be a touist I want to meet and talk to locals and get to know the real side of their lives in the countries that we pass through

PM sent. Know what you mean about tourists. Spent 9 weeks in europe last year and never spoke to another n. american. Met a lot of brits on the D-D beaches. Hope to meet some E-EU advriders next time.

haven't planned anything as yet but that is our plan, a ferry at either end and the rest is flexible

by the way what are the alps going to be like at the end of april, still snow bound ?

what's the weather like in bulgaria in may and do we need visas

the weather in Bulgaria in may is usualy very nice (not too warm, nor too cold) . Should be just fine for a wonderful ride!!! I'll check about the visas. Where are you from?
