I had a tube mounted to the side of my luggage rack. I had it there only until someone stole my tubes. Now I have locking panniers.

A pelican 1450 on a '07 KLR. Add four stainless drawer pulls from Home Depot and you'll have an extra platform for stray stuff.

Secured to the stock rack using existing bolt holes.

Why does this well prepared bike only have 50 miles on it? Too much work, not enough ride. Looks great.

Nope. It being on the center stand just makes it look taller.

D606's. That rear tire had less than 50 miles when I sold the bike a month ago. It was a tough parting, but then one can only ride one off-road bike at a time and my DRZ won the argument

I use a 1450 case on my DRZ as well.

Nice setup, Hoots. TwoShots, really like the use of drawer pulls. I was thinking U bolts would be good, but those look like they provide a bit of a rack back there.

The Pelican cases definately have it for ruggedness, but price was an issue so I opted for this Doskocil two pistol case. I mounted it using the stock bolt holes in the rack and waterproofed it with clear silicone. Has two locking clasps, which could be broken into fairly easily but will keep most people honest in a public place. 9x14x4&1/2, Just the right size for carrying the essentials without being bulky. I have dropped the bike hard several times and never damaged it.] I carry tire irons with end wrenches to fit axles
prop rod for changing tires
spare front tube
patch kit
tire mounting lube
air compressor/ spare hand pump both mounted under left side
6 ft air compressor hose
tire pressure guage
stock tool kit
flashlight
Leatherman
water bottle
aluminum plate to rest kickstand on
rags
misc bolts, nuts, wire, zip ties, loctite
first aid kit
extra socks
shot of tequila
bungee net over it all and more bungee cords around it
