Thanks for the heads up.
Have a great trip and safe hunt.

-Everyone that is interested in participating please post here what you'd like to do again just to make sure you're still in for the last weekend of Oct.

If you need parts I can order them up for you and have them here so you don't need to worry about traveling w/ them. It also makes in easier so that I can look into what needs to be done and supplies I may need to stock up on.

I am willing to offer a helpful hand and bit of knowledge I've learned working on my 950 for the past 40,000 miles, but you are responsible for work done on your bike. This gives you the most hands on learning experience. (Basically, I'm not doing the work for you.) Having some experience turning wrenches is a must, but anyone that has interest in seeing a KTM Adventure torn apart or just hanging out is welcome to come.

OCT 24/24/26th Starting Fri night 4pm ish

Fri night I'll do pizzas or something easy. Sat night Katie plans to cook something up, so if we have an idea of how many will be here would be great. I know weather can be iffy in WI around this time. There is plenty of tent room, but if weather really gets bad there is room to throw a sleeping bag inside the house.

I also have a 2 miles test track in the back yard to try out your new add ons.

Hope to meet some new and long time LC8 riders soon.

My bike is all up to snuff and on the block for sale. Think I am going to have to miss the event, sorry guys. The mortgage won't pay itself, I tried sweet talking it 20 different directions.

gonna put it on the calendar - looking good right now. Valve check would be the main project, beer sampling the other.

So far there are just two:

-Valve check
-Facet fuel pump install

still room for more to get some work done on your bike.

CJ Is around?

CJ,

I've been waiting for a reply from a info/request I sent off your web sight about a week ago.

I'm interested in some Farkles, but loosing interest quick as bow hunting is quickly approaching (attention span of a 5 year old:)

Please contact me.

Sounds good. You heading over w/ Peter on Fri? We'll need to start ripping it apart Fri night.

Be sure to acquire all the parts needed for the fuel pump, if you can't come up w/ some stuff let me know. We can do that after you're valve check if there is time.

Your stock KTM tool Kit will take care of 90% of the stuff. I'll have the rest, but feel free to bring what you want.

Items to have for your valve check are:

2 new Spark plugs
1 new paper air filter

You don't need to but I normally time it so I need an oil change at that time too. Every 5,000 miles. Try to ride in on your E light (makes lugging your gas tanks off easier). So:

4 quarts of oil
1 paper filter

I can get all this stuff for you and have it here waiting for you. Just let me know 2 weeks ahead of time. Plus it helps out the local dealers that help us.

any questions/ concerns just ask.

Stop on over, I'm sure the weather will be GREAT.

So it looks like we are up to 3 workers.

2 valve checks
2 fuel pumps.

Right now I'm thinking that 2 950 torn down for valve checks is going to be enough, anyone else interested in seeing what takes place is more than welcome to stop by.

Only a month away.

I just did the paper filter and oil change about 2k ago so that is out of the way. I'v been inside the bike more than a few time so I know my way around it enough to be dangerous. CJ, do you have access to shims if we need them? Do you have feeler gauges to check the gap? This weekend I will do a bunch of research on the operation so I know what I am doing when I get there. I also have the service manual on CD in PDF for reference.
