Either would be doable. This is a laid back ride not a level 4/5 hair on fire run.

Idahosam, how much pavement vs dirt (off road, fire roads etc.)??
I am new to the area with my Calif plated XR650R

and I am thinking of joining up for this ride. Same issue as previous posted, a 650r with knobbies (that is set up for the Calif desert) It is not the most comfortable bike when riding a lot of pavement.

Out of the 190 miles about 20 mile of pavement the rest is all dirt and gravel road.

Hey Ryan - The route that Sam has for Sat. would give a few of the adventurous a quick little side trip that hooks right back into his loop. The West Fork of Bennett Creek. It would throw a couple water hazards in and a little rock hoppin and then right back with the group just after Teapot Dome. A little two track always makes things a bit more exciting.

Sam - If I stepped on a toe or two by my suggestion give me both barrels.

Idahosam, just to get the correct prospective on the gas stops for this ride. Is it now at 150 miles or is it still at 100 miles as noted before you did the ride layout/mapping?

After riding it I changed to 150 miles thats about what it was rolling to the Y-Station (gas/food stop). I carry an extra gas can with me me on the DRZ.

I ran up to Ola and High Valley Wednesday to hit a couple Challenge spots...

Baird's Cabin at Ola Park

Lots of standing water in High Valley

I tried to go down to smiths ferry but could only get a mile out of high valley before there was to much snow. So I headed back to Ola.

Nice and green this time of year.

With my planed route still snowed in I had lots of daylight left so I headed north and hit Hwy95 through Indian Valley. I ate my lunch in cambridge

then decided to head up 71 then W Pine Rd till I hit snow at 4800'

Overall a great ride and 270 miles

Yeah....about that..... I'll try to get on it. Between the 10 to 12 hour work days, friends birthday tomorrow, concert on Saturday, dinner plans four days next week, and trying to still work out an hour a day.... Not sure which week. I can post the pics but the narrative will be pretty lacking.... I'll be hungover on Sunday

...I'll work on it then.

Wow, I didn't know Klim was and Idaho Company. So may great products are made for the outdoors here that you loose track. Looks like a lot of fun!
