That's how I remember it from about 10-12 years ago. Overgrown.

Howdy all! Back from my 3400 mile adventure to Cali. First three days are already up in my thread. So who's riding this weekend? I don't want to do the KLR rally cause I don't feel like sucking that much dust. Anybody wanna go?

Well of course, it's my ride so I get top billing I hope Dan D (hum, sounds like "Dandy" maybe a good name change) has some good video I can get from him for the video.

Ride on Sunday 6/24

Anyone up for a Challenge site run? I'm looking at hitting all the Eastern Oregon (and thereabouts) sites. 30, 27, 26, 31, 32, (and maybe 16, 9 depending on time and whether I can figure how to get over there from Helena).

I know the KLR 25 Year rally is this weekend but some of us ride "other" bikes. (Happy Trail team, I know we are invited too, I just have to tease.)

It looks like I'll ride on Sunday but I am open to Saturday too (one or the other).

Unless someone has a better route I think going to Weiser, ID to hit 30, then up Hwy 71 to Copperfield and back along Hwy 86 to Halfway, OR for 27, then back up Hwy 86 to Copperfield to hit 26, 31, 32 is the path I'll take. From my maps it looks like there is a forest service road to drop down to New Meadows and from there I can hit 16 and 9 "on the way home".

It may be too much to do in a day but I'll get done what I can.

I'm always up for a death march! Count me in. I haven't hit any challenge points yet this year. Check your PM.

Then Saturday it is! How about we meet at the Chevron just off the I84 Eagle road exit. There are several places to get grub, if you need it, as well as fuel (of course). Since I don't know how long this ride will take I'm thinking 9AM take off. Any objections?

I live in Nampa so If you were planning to take the freeway east I would rather meet somewhere out this a way or in Weiser. Maybe the Flying J at Franklin exit in Caldwell?

Good point. Sorry to "assume" that Eagle Rd was on the way out of town.

Let's meet at both places. We'll leave the Eagle Rd. Chevron at 9AM and then go to the Flying J off of the exit for Caldwell (I don't know the exit number but I know which exit you are referring to). We should be able to leave from there by 9:30AM and off to Weiser we go!
