Me too! Also just slightly more than 2 weeks. What's your route?

Even with a tube, you'd have had a long, slow ride home.

Not sure if you saw it or not, but I got a slash smaller than that in the back of my 950 tire in Oregon. Went through 2 pieces of carpet and 3 tubes just to get back to the OR/ID border before throwing in the towel and sending Thane after my wife and our trailer.

As much as I HATED working on that bike... I do miss riding it!

I didn't have a tube with me, so I limped my way in to Glenn's Ferry and called the insurance company for roadside assistance. I managed to convince them to have me towed all the way back to Boise on their dime. So I guess I am on the search for my next front tire, I liked the look, and really like liked the price of that IRC TR8 Sam was running on his 990, so I think that's the way I am leaning.

Poor Tiger out of Commission in Glenn's Ferry

The rather large gash in my front tire, even if I had had a tube I would have still needed to limp home given the size of the gash in the tire.

I noticed Silverspurs is kicking @ss and taking names, almost 30 Challenge sites logged already!

Ouch, glad I didn't have a tube now, I'd still be limping back. Just ordered a TR8 for the front, hopefully it will make the Tiger way more predictable in cornering off-road. Whoever at Triumph that thought Pirelli Scorpions were the appropriate tire for the 800XC should be drug out the street and shot.

Well, just finished visiting my Doctor about my leg injury and appears I'll be laid up for a couple of weeks (Hematoma and some sural and tibial nerve damage). That said I can't get any of my video to come up but I have a a lot of pictures so thinking of starting my RR.

RockhopeJohn:

I've had nothing but good luck with the TR8's I think you'll like it.

Tyson:

I am really glad your getting to go out and play, it's a great stress reliever

Trailrider383:

I know now why you love the Black Rock area so much, pretty magical out there.

RWC:

I think you have a lifelong riding partner in training there

Love it. And matching (color-wise) bikes too. That flag is a good idea. Need to do that. How did he do on the hills out there?

The boy and I are shooting for a first overnight ride this Saturday at the ridge spot I found last week.

Sorry to hear about the injury but excited to see your report. I enjoy all the context you bring to them.

Ok

Found it rest and heal up...I thought that was a general statement. Did you dismount in some new and exciting way?
