You have to link from a hosting site like smugmug or photobucket.

Blacks Creek/ Danskin Area?

Is this area still closed for dirt bikes? I would like to get in a last ride before the snow flies.

Per the latest closure update for the Elk Complex Fire.....yes, it's still closed.

I went through Blacks Creek over House Mtn to Pine a couple weeks ago, it was open then. (Main road)

Looked like the Pony Fire perimeter encompassed most of the Danskin OHV area!?

I didn't realize that either but it's sure what the maps show.

There will be some pavement so street legal is best.

I'll be in the silver truck with the (new to me) blue Husaberg.
Nice bike, how long have you had the Husaberg? Did you keep the DR?

Sorry I couldn't make your ride. Looks like you had a great time.

Who has the day off tomorrow for Columbus day and who wants to hit the hot springs at Leslie Gulch?

I was thinking I'd let it warm up just a little, how about 10:00? I hope you have something a little smaller that the GS, if you want to make it to the hot spring.

I sold the DR as I wanted a more off road bike. I liked riding the DR from home to the trails but......riding home in 100+ was like sitting in a convection oven. Decided to get a bike to truck to the riding area and ride home with the AC. I got the Husaberg about 3 weeks ago and have been on 3 rides with and really like it. Good, smooth power from just over idle and not too heavy.

We did have a good ride that day and I hope to do a few more before winter hits.

I am positive I could take the GSA anywhere a KLR could go.

I did buy a KTM a few weeks ago I am itching to get out. I didn't see a meet up place so I assume this trip is a no go. Off by myself to parts unknown again.

Did you find the section in your KTM's owners manual that covers "how to lift?"
