Yeah, that does look painful Handy. I remember hearing about that. I made sure to stay away from the logs heading into that site as well.

Not exactly trails, lots of gravel though. Next week I'm thinking about something a little more challenging. If anyone knows of a good route around the Danskins that we can do in about three hours let me know.
Did this loop again on my DR today. Holy hunters, I must have passed at least a couple hundred. Good time though, great weather and the leaves are finally changing so I got some good shots. That last section that we did in the dark was a lot more fun in the daylight too, nice fast dirt. Skipped the Oregon Trail section again though, it was getting later and I needed to get home to make dinner. Someday...

if anyone wants to go ride some trails, or hit up some iamc check points on a Thursday or Friday I finally got a new bike to replace the xr.
Would love to stretch it's legs before the winter months roll in.

previous owner bought it at JC powersports back in May or June I believe. (It was set up like this by the previous owner to the guy I bought it from). It's pretty well set up besides the suspension being soft. It does have lowering links and the forks have been dropped an inch if these things sound familiar. (be nice to know the history an maintenance of the bike)

Jason, I just wanted to let you know I read your aforementioned Link. Very well done sir. As I have come to expect from your many write ups; nothing but excellence. I must you are mastering the art of fine video micro-documentaries! You leave the narratives to the viewers imagination.

Finally easing back to some dirt.

Hola Boise As many may know I have been on an extended hiatus since my mishap end of May Ride on the Nevada Pony Express Ride

I always figured I'd hurt myself flying along at ludicrous speeds, not a zero speed fall but it has indeed been my Achilles for this past summer. Attempted to ride to Canada (road) in July only to injure myself and upon returning home having the wrath of my Doctor stating what part of no riding don't you get......... not to mention the wife's disapproval!

So, I finally am not walking around with a limp, although my ankle is still umm, causing some grief. So Saturday I pulled Moya out and wanted just a easy dirt oriented ride so I headed up to Prairie For a loop ride. WOW! there was a lot of traffic on that road not to mention the Hunters.

I never noticed this before just off of Blacks Creek

Someone started marking the Oregon Trail (this is coming down from Bonneville Point) To bad it's fenced off.

Not sure if this just leads out to private property But I'll check it out on a smaller bike later.

5 years ago none of this was here (marked) I came across this site after posting this

http://www.idahobyways.gov/byways/or...k-country.aspx

One can never go wrong riding this road... for scenic value that is!

Overall, a great ride. Did 130 miles managed to stay on the pegs for 10 minutes at a time, and even managed a couple drifts on so corners.

I must say after doing Moya's valves last fall she has some great snap in her step again.. i.e. Starbursts! Warpdrive, what ever you want to call it; I called it SWEET!

I've only rode my 990 a total of 1,400 miles this year. Perhaps 2014 will be better. Take Care All Hope to see you out there

Beautiful variety of images. Glad to hear you're mending, old man. Jessica tells me a 12-year-old girl birthday party (my niece) is happening here this week and I'd best go for a ride — may do that same loop. Interesting to see the burn. When it was happening I didn't realize it was getting that far. Hope to see you out there soon ...

Sam, when were you out there? And which direction did you run it? I ran into a few other motos (a new style Wee Strom 2 up and a couple Hondas, both running counter clockwise if that makes sense) but no KTM's.
