Talking A nice pair!

In an unusual quirk of fate, my other half has found that he can only ride sportsbikes - sit up and beg or, even worse, cruisers, cause him unacceptable levels of pain in his coccyx. So, I pursuaded him to actually spend as much money on his bike as we'll always cheerfully spend on my bike, with the result that he's just bought a limited edition HRC Fireblade (CBR1000RR7).

Makes a great pairing with my limited edition 50th anniversary R1:

He's absolutely over the moon with it. He's been riding since 1979 and this is his 21st bike, of which 15, including this one, have been brand new. But I've never before seen him so keen to get out of bed early on a chilly Saturday morning (about 4 deg C) to go riding before the traffic gets too busy.

It was quite frosty:

Oh well, spring must be just around the corner!!

I wonder if they offer that here in the states. I think I could go for that Honda.

I'm curious about the insurance cost for both vehicles.

My CBR1000RR was 37 bucks a month for full coverage. Under 30 and with a few tickets :)

Janet, that is a fantastic pair, you guys definitely picked the two literbikes that should last the longest.

The funny thing with the Fireblade is that Honda in their infinite wisdom designed a superbike that's easier to remove the transmission...than the oil filter. Always thought that was amusing.

Oh, all right ... sorry ...

Let me rephrase it: sit up and beg bikes give him a pain in the bum!

There, is that better?

They sag a bit when you unhook the calipers.

Not sure I get what you mean... My comment was on the size of the rotors, what would sag if you unhook the calipers?

It was a joke in reference to a large chest.
