Question Nav II direct cable?

I have a BMW Navigator II with th cradle and I want to hook up on my R100GS.
It has a load of cables.
I''ve got the BMW accessory plug cable, and another for plugging into a newer bike's harness (I assume).
My older Nav I is wired right to the battery.
Is there a direct to battery cable made for the Nav II?
Suggestions?

The Nav II is basically a Garmin 2720 and I beleive the connection at back of the unit is same for both. Should plug right in.

The NavII has the cradle which has the flat connector to the GPS plus a Y that has a round connector to the cradle.

The part I posted is flat GPS power & audio connector. It does not have the round connector.. What's the round connector for? Antenna? or does it power the cradle buttons? If you need the round connector for it to work you will just have to buy the expensive BMW branded connector, cut it and connect it to the battery. Or just cut the one you have and wire it to the battery.

yes, I believe the roundie powers the cradle.
I suppose I can cut the accessory plug off the end and hardwire it .
I wonder how many and what wires there are in there...

Here's a pic of what it looks like, thanks to MikeO..

Hey Randy,

I went through all this when I was hooking up my Nav II to my S, now it's on the GS. It was very hard to get info on the BMW units and what wires were for what purpose. I called dealers, BMWNA and BMW Canada and finally got some vague info. I bit the bullet and cut the plug off the cable and wired it up and it didn't fry! You can cut the cable to the length you need and inside you'll find a red, a black and a purple. The purple is for audio hookup on bikes like the LT that have audio in the harness so you can disregard it and used red for power. I put a BMW plug on the end and installed a female plug near the handle bars and it works fine. Make sure to check polarity as I burned out a Sirius radio by not paying attention.

HTH
