Everything south of town that had a gate was closed, soft roadbeds. I was able to confirm on hurricane GAP just how soft. It will need grading before long. Lots of surprise soft spots.

Might be too late, but as of 2/20, last Thursday, the Bent Creek area was closed due to the snow. I don't know if its reopened yet or not. I went down to Hendersonville then to the Dupont Forest area which was all open and not that bad, then to Brevard which all the roads I tried were also closed with the same signs as Bent Creek.

Thumb nomination

Good morning from Mars Hill,

I'm waiting out the rain here at Hardee's/exon

I rode through Ashville yesterday and was astonished by the amount of DS I saw

I saw my second TIGER 800X (on the east coast), and what appeared to be my first BMW fundaro?
The, KLR was frequent. the RGS was not to be seen. I usually see them often.

///
So FWIW, I nominate Ashvillefor this region's head quarters.
On Saturday I rode through Talladega, and south of Atlanta and saw about 75 MC and none were DS.
From my deep south tour, Asheville, destroys all others. Including towns in Florida, and Texas, and the gulf states.

fundoro? What must have been me . Was that you on the BRP near the arboretum? I'd stay stay a bit longer and join us at the wedge tonight... on good (dry) days we have around 20+ bikes there (DS and classic bikes).

Oh yeah,

Good to go.

I was looking for a place to stealth camp.

I ended up northwest of Asheville.

Off Riverside drive, maybe South of elk mountain Road.

It was in the low 50s, so perfect conditions.
Tonight, not so much.
