Saw the book and DVD on the Aerostich website. Wondering your thoughts on content for either.
I'm searching for Alaska-specific riding resources (to supplement this forum, of course!) --- my wife and I hope to ride there next summer. Cheers

read the book
The book was okay. If you haven't ever been on those roads it's okay. It you have been on those roads, it confirms what you already know. Milepost is great as are a couple of other Alaska by road books. There are lots and lots of posts in here that are as informative. Haven't seen the DVD. Saw it same place you did and have considered it. Have a great trip. I'm planning my next one already.

The books a waste. A lot of fuzzy black & white photos and very little substance. In fact all of Greg's books are like that. His G/S'ing book is just junk.
You can get a lot better info from the trip reports on this forum. His articles in MCN a few years back on building a KLR were very good. |

Haven't seen the Alaska book in person but after purchasing the G/S'ing book I'm a little leary of buying another of Greg's books. As previously stated the G/S'ing book was all fuzzy B&W pics and little substance. I enjoyed reading "Riding Around the World".

Don't Waste Your Money
Have to agree with the previous posts. Don't waste your money. Buy THE MILEPOST and check the trip reports here. If you have any specific questions post them here.
