Pissed can't get my dirtbike legal in kentucky!?!

edit: come to find out it was mis-titled an ATV.

basically to get a dirtbike street legal.
you need all the lights and proof of purchase of items.
take it down and get it inspected and fill out some paperwork.

i went down to the local government office here in lexington kentucky and tried to get my
honda crf230f street legal.

i handed them my insurance paperwork and they got a plate and tag for me but in the last second
she said i couldn't have it. she stated that after july 23rd that because my title said ATV there is no way to get it street legal anymore. i told her that it has lights and everything else that i thought it only needed to be inspected and she stated that doesn't matter anymore.

is she telling the whole truth? is there no way to get a bike legal anymore?

What ORR isn't telling you is that when I plated my DRZ400, I had someone at the title office, and the local BMV both give me bad information. It took a kind hearted soul at the main BMV office, and a call from the local title office person's supervisor to the Director of the license section of the BMV, to finally get the right information into the right hands.

In Ohio, you have to fill out a form that says you have complied with the law. No inspection or copies required.

Might want to call the Kentucky equivalent of the BMV and make sure of what the requirement really is. The locals may be dead wrong.
