TW200 Sidecar project ???

I want to find/build a simple sidecar for a Yamaha TW200 for my dog to ride in. Looking for low budget kits/parts/plans/suggestions. Thanks!

Define Low Budget. Is $3,500 too high?

I wanted to do exactly the same thing and bought a:

Chang Jiang 750 M1M (BMW R71 Clone) that I am in the process of going through and sorting out (as it's been sitting for a while). I bought it for $2500 and bought $1000 in parts (carbs and an assortment of spares: pistons, spokes, spare wire harness, spare cables, gasket set etc.).

Due to work however, time has gotten short on supply.
It runs fine, but needs some work (cosmetics and maintenance).
Let me know if you're interested for what i got into it.
I'll take some pics tonight.

I'd like to use the TW200 that I already have as it's pretty good in the sand we have around here. I'm looking to get a hack that's ok for some sand road and trail use, ground clearence is a plus. Do you want to sell just the side car?

Check out sidecarcross.com.

They have some pics of the frames in the site somewhere. I assume you don't need anything to complicated for your puppy.

PM Wayne or Wes Webber, they had a home grown hack mounted to a KTM dirt bike at west fest. Might get some tips from them.

are you gonna put a big ol' fat tire on the hack?

and isn't this on the wrong side?

Is this more what you're looking for?

and here's my collection of hacks of interest:

Yes that's what I had in mind, Simple and light, with the fat tire to get over the sand around here.

There's all kinds of ideas out there,
but you'd have the only TW fat tire rig I've seen!
I'm wanting to make a DR650 with TW style tires,
and the fat tire sidecar would be very interesting!

update:
I fixed that page up a bit:

Spidennis, That's a remarkable collection. Thanks for the link. Do you know a source for plans for a lightweight frame and details?

Yep, that's the idea. If we wanted to explore the the sandy offroad around here we need to be able to float over and not dig in. Ole' TW doesn't have enough power to drag a hack through too much. It does have a really low 1st gear though.
