Slap 2008 (5/9-11)

Come on down to southern Missouri, home of mulletts, miller lite, and mother-sisters, for a good ole' time of ridin', drinkin', and general rowdiness for the 2008 version of Squeal Like A Pig.

May 9th, 10th, 11th, 2008. Will be around the area of Tecumseh, MO. Lots of curvy, twisty, off-camber asphalt, and more gravel, dirt, and trees than you can shake a stick at.

We will be staying at the beautiful Dawt Mill Campground.

Linky

Your participation fee includes a campsite for Friday and Saturday night, breakfest (fresh cinammon rolls, coffee, and juice) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning, catered in BBQ and Buffulo Wings on Saturday night, two kegs of beer (for everyone to share, not two for each of you) and stickers, of course.

All for the low, low price of $35 a head. Payment will be accepted by check or paypal. Paypal to iyeager2004 (at) kc . rr . com. Mail checks to:

5411 NE Circle Dr.
Kansas City, MO

Pay early, I haven't finalized the T-shirt details with Hayduke but you'll need to be paid up to get your name on the shirt. UPDATE: Cut-off to get your name on the shirt is two weeks prior to the event. Payment must be made by April 25th to get your name on the shirt.

There are also individual rooms or cabins available for the non campers. If you're getting a room, make sure to get ahold of Ray at the mill as soon as possible to make sure you get yours reserved. Also, PM me if you're getting a room.

As for dinner Friday night, you're on your own. There's a couple of bar/grill/pizza type places within a couple of minutes of the campground. West Plains is about 17 miles east of the campground and Theodosia is about 20 miles west of the campground. Both of those have three or four different restaraunts. There's also plenty of campfire space, and individual grills if you want to bring something to grill Friday night, or in case you catch anything. All of the firewood is provided by the campsite.

Fishing is big there on the north fork of the White River. Lots of trout, lots of bass. Ray, the manager of the place, said that last year some guy pulled two record breaking browns out there. I honestly don't know a trout from a goldfish, so I have no idea what that means, but I guess it's good.

Hopefully we'll see you guys there.

Ian

I'm almost totally sure it will be less than your usual alchohol/camping/food tab for one of these weekends. And just think of how much room it'll save, not having to tote the brew with you.

A certain unnamed Moderator (of JoMomma, so you know, not really a mod Luv ya Pilot) told me to put it here. If it doesn't belong, feel free to move it to where ever you see fit.

I like the slow inmate forum idea, personally.
