I`m going to get a noise test done at an aftermarket exhaust manufacturer this week; it will be interesting to see just just how loud it is.

Borderline: According to Aust Design Rules my 2007 Xc is allowed to be 94 decibels, plus an allowance of 5 decibels.

The modified muffler came out at just under 99 decibels, with a big blip on the throttle seeing 118 decibels .

So; it most likely wouldn`t pass the copometer test on the side of the road, but may scrape through if tested under controlled conditions.

It's insanely loud!!!!!!!!

Installed tonight, some minor problems insofar as the threads on the heat shield clips not matching the supplied allen head bolts. Other than that, plus a lack of any installation guide (not really required) it was $430 AUD delivered to my door in Brisbane. Sounds Awesome, just had a thunderstom so a bit wet atm but tomorrow we fly

Bought it from Scott Russon at http://www.tremx.com/

He was great to deal with and would recommend him to you. Good Luck.

Have been out riding the bike today and its awesome! Sounds great and certainly "peps" things up. I've reinstalled the paper filter but i'm going to try it out with the Unilfilter soon. Just do it!

Mine did not come with one but i know there are options out there . I am going down to my local store and try and see about it .. looks like scorpion uses the same can for lots of different models . if you ask people at bike shops they have a really hard time finding parts for unpopular bikes ,

so its the oval can your looking for

here is a drz400 with one and a baffle you can see it if you look inside the can toward the end of the clip

if anyone knows more about this please reply

The Scorpion would be the loudest pipe I have yet heard on a X Challenge, and most other bikes they are fitted to. There mustn't be much baffle in those pipes.

If you start a fire the cost will be on you. All forest services, farmers and adventure rides ask for spark arresters to be fitted.

Just incase anybody wanted to quiet down there remus pipe, I can attest the the blue Db Dawg fits the titanium remus pipe for the x-challange. It works pretty well for the price $40. (Google Db Dawg for info)
