John, you are a lucky man. If that mountain is McKinley then you have done well since it is usually in cloud.
That is sure a nice camp spot. Will you tell us where it is? What did you feed the bears that night?

Bear food....
Jay, that is Mt. Sanford, 16,000+ ft. high, not Denali. The picture is taken from my camp on the Copper River, which is off the Glenn Hiway, aka the Tok Cut-Off. The day after that pic was taken it began to rain, so I headed up the Richardson hiway to the Top of the World hiway.
I am sorting thru my pix so I can post a proper ride report, in the meantime, here is a typical Alaska hiway scene...just another shi**y day in paradise!!! John ps...no bears that night, just a small fox that raided the camp and dragged my pans around. |
