Yeah! Cee Baileys Screen is on the way!

Hell yes! Steve and the folks and Cee Baileys have answered my prayers. I canceled my order for the hideous Aeroflow (which would probably have worked great), and hopped over to Cee Baileys site to order up a new GS screen as big as they can make one. It cost me an extra $50 to get it "giant sized", but hopefully it will be like sitting in that "Popemobile" Fish is always talking about.

I can't want to strap that big barn door to the front of the GS. It's half as ugly as the Aeroflow, and exactly half the price. I got the light gray tint too. It's what I had on my RT screen and it is VERY light gray...almost clear. Just good for knocking the glare down.

I know that Cee Baileys can get backlogged at times (me and the rest of the BMWRT crowd swamped him when the RT screen came out), so I'll wait patiently (since I was going to wait at least 2 weeks for the Aeroflow anyway). I'll let you all know how it works.

Please hurry Steve! (Perhaps I should have paid the extra $50 to have it rushed! Darn!!)

If it's as good as the RT screen was, I'll love it.

Wunderlich in USA

For Fyrmd

You could order it directly from Wunderlich.

Andreas there speaks very good English.

Ring 'em up and ask for him - he was extremely helpful to me.

If you require his email address then send me a private msg.

cheers

Patrick
Razorback,

I got the same three week late message about not shipping to the good old USA.

Just try and order the NEW Wunderlich Tall Touring from BMWscruz.com and you'll get last years Wunderlich which is a smoked colored ERMAX, or at least that is what they sent to me.

Wunderlich's customer service sucks big time.

Wunderlich sucks?? nahh...

I think it's BMWCruz... I mean they are meant to be the US Wunderlich distributor... and so probably have some agreement with Wunderlich Germany that they have sole distributor rights to the US...

Hell I'd do that if I was going to distribute their stuff!!

Guess I'd ring up BMWCruz with all the details and tell them that there are a few of you that want to order it and to hurry up and pull their finger out....

Just a thought....

Wunderlich sucks.

Anybody have the Wunderlich part number? I'll write it on a sticky note and slap it on the parts mgr's forehead.

Wunderlich and their Screen

Patrick - I just don't agree with you - Wunderlich do not suck - perhaps BMWCruz do - but _not_ wunderlich (Andreas actually asked me if I had X part and I said no and he ok - he'll send me one free... and just answering my questions... anyway I found em good) I say that you complain to BMWCruz... if they don't do anything then maybe fire an email to Wunderlich HQ explaining the problem....

Alternatively get a group together and ring-bomb BMWCruz

FISH - part number is: 8110064 and it is called "Touren Scheibe" (Touring Screen)

this link might work:

customer service

Razorback & Patrick...

yeah fair enough ... i didn't realise they listed USA as a shipping country....

in that case I would send a formal complaint with all the details to wunderlich...

I should get my screen today will let everyone know what it's like and then post....

cheers

I just spoke with one of the boys from Cee Baileys, (very helpful I must say!) My main problem is wind on my shoulders. He thinks that the new adventure screen will be the one to alleviate this. It is wider than the GS screen that they sell. They are just waiting on the hardware that will make the adventure screen fit on the standard GS.
Why send your money over seas when you can deal with these good folks!

I forgot to mention this; he told me it would be adjustable also.

well wunderlich touring is on

and it rocks!

because it's wider it also helps on the shoulders and I can feel the wind just on the top of my helmet. this is with screen in middle position.

will try it out tonight on motorway in high position.

i'm a VERY happy customer... only one problem and that's lane splitting - cos it's taller - harder to see down between cars. but hell that'll happen with all of them.

now tank bag and tank panniers to go on before this weekend's trip

Thumb Cee Baileys

Just received the short, carbon fiber look screen from Cee Baileys. Ordered from web site, promised 2 week lead time, part arrived in 10 days. Quality looks very good, about 2.5" shorter than stock 1150GS screen with no up-turned lip. Should be good for running in hot conditions. Hope that it keeps some bugs off the face shield.

Looks similar to tall Wunderlich Touring screen but without the flare toward the grips, which must help.
Update for the R11 GS riders- I just called them and they need to borrow a R1100GS for a few days to check mounting issues, (Anyone in LA area willing to help them out?!! Please, pretty please!) I am working with them to use the factory screen for the lower mounting hardware and differnt cut-outs for the square headlight.

I am hoping to eventually mount an "adventure" style shield with the "top flip" so I can have something that is durable on off-road long-hauls that does not break when you go OOPS! I will report back when "Steve" gets back to me.
