KLR Suspension / Subframe Question

The situation: I have a very irritating squeak coming out the 'middle' area of the bike.
When I ride it, or bounce it up and down while stationary the squeak is heard on the upward movement of the seat (ie - not when the suspension compresses).

A couple of months ago I stipped the back off the bike and regreased everywhere with SUBSTANTIAL quantities of waterproof grease i got from a boat shop. I have just this morning been past a suspension shop, who have told me the problem is certainly not with the shock. I have also cleaned everywhere, and sprayed all the suspension bushes with wd40, and well as the piston on the shock.

The question is: does the subframe pivot at the upper weak & problematic bolts (12.9 grade replaced...)??? The squeak only made itself heard after a weekeng of about 1000km of very dusty riding. My thoughts being, since I've checked everything else I could think of: possibly there is dirt/dust in those bushes (not even sure if there are bushes there...), I am at work with no tools, so cannot have a quick peek.

Please help, i'm about to tear my hair out with this damn racket.......

A squeak like that usually comes from the swingarm bearings.

I agree. It's most likely the swingarm bolt/bearings/sleeves. If you've never removed the bolt to grease it, it's past due.

an update: swingarm bearings were the problem. Greased and quiet again.
