Aluminum Panniers from Touratech
I just got my order from Touratech this weekend and they included a "News for 2008" mini-catalog... They are planning Aluminum Panniers for the Xch - Available Spring 2008!

BMW Handguards?
What are your opinions on the BMW handguards? I tend to like the Cycra handguards -I've have them on my XR400, and they are strong.... they replaced Acerbis hadnguards that never seemed to stay in place and were softer (I could bend the metal bar by hand on the Acerbis).
Are the BMW guards strong? Do they seem to stay in place well in a fall? Do they get bent out of shape? |

What's up with the fake second exhaust can? Did they miss it from the F650 and wanted to add it back? If they wanted to add a storage can, does it really need to look like an exhaust can?

It's either an exhaust, and extra fuel tank, or storage, but I just don't like the idea of having it look fake... I don't like fake things personally...

No way it's an exhaust can... look at the front end of the can, that's not a pipe there, it looks like a support brace welded to the end.... Fake Exhaust. Other then that, it looks good.....

It's the body of an exhaust which is used as a staufach.
Imho they didn't put the available space there on the right to good use. Like GB007, I don't like fake things. They could have made a much more usefull, roomier compartment. |
