Shift lever broke, skid plate trashed, rear tire punctured, but by Gawd those new luggage racks rocked!

Quite the trip! Hope your future endeavors are just as much fun!

I did a search and the Full Bore M-40 is reputed to be a re-branded Shinko.

The Motoz Tractionator Enduro's have a few posts on here about them. Click here.

Ive tried some of the cheap tires. They didn't last very long and the trouble I had was with tread blocks breaking-off. Of course, I use my XCo for dirt AND road and it gets a lot of high speed road running.

I've never had any problems with premium tires, Metzeler, Michelin, Conti etc, disintegrating on me.

The cheap tire may be good for someone staying on dirt mostly. Theyre a helluva lot cheaper. Usually, though, I find one gets what they pay for in life.

Seems like the poster was making some rather generalized comments.
I'm liking the Motoz tires, at least. Had the Tractionator Desert H/T on my 950SE front&rear, and liked them a lot last summer.
I now have Tractionator Enduro S/T on the shelf waiting to be installed on the X, so verdict pending on those.

In the meanwhile, riding with a Mitas C-02 at the rear, again a budget aggressive knobbly tyre - awesome grip on the gravel & loose stuff. Tarmac, I don't care. :)

Try them out, then make up your own mind, I say.

Had the Tractiionator desert h/t on my XCH and a few guys have tried them on their 950's. A tough tyre, doubt you will ever get a flat, feel and grip while upright is good but as soon as you get on the side knobs it isn;t the best.

On wet bitumen we all call them the Non-tractionators, never had a tyre slide around like it before or since. The more it wore the more dependable it was on when it let go though. Got 5000 klm out of the rear, do not know anyone who uses the front ones over here, their first models were pretty crap and put a lot of riders off. Even the shops here won't stock them.

Ariete rim locks from the Scheff !

Hey Stephan,

I see you are now selling Ariete 10915 rim locks (for the 2.5-3.0" rim width range). Last I talked to Woody's they said nobody made a 3" wide rimlock (for my XCountry 3" rear rim). But today I called them and they said they found a source for them (don't know if it was Ariete). Good news!

Just wondered about these - are they new? Has anybody installed them and run their tires at low psi like 20 even? Seems like a good deal especially for the rear for off road! Anthing you wantn to share with us?
