Question Ktm 690 new speedo problem with mph

Had a problem with the speedo so I had to get a new one, it's the newer model from 2010+ now my bike ready a the wrong speed. It always says it's going way faster them it is 20-30mph. This is an smc so I have a 17 in front rim and the speedo seems to be set up for that. Any help would be greatly appreciated

-- to reset wheel diameter you must unplug or cut the 18th pin (gray/brown). On pre-2011 Enduro R models, it is the pink wire or you can just unplug the largest of the 3 plugs coming out of the speedo unit during the reset. Plug it back in afterwards.

-- Turn key to "on" and with the speedo set to "Trip 1", press and hold "Mode" for 10 sec.

-- Length 2250 (the 21" circumference) will show up

-- Press "mode" to increase and "set" to decrease the circumference.

-- The correct setting for 17" should be 1870.

-- Press "mode" and "set" simultaneously to set it.
