Looking to rent a trailer for 2 bikes - need suggestions

Hi,

I live in San Jose and need to trailer 2 bikes (650 and a 1200) down to Death Valley for the NOOb Valley Rally. Anyone know of a place or person that would rent their trailer? My last option is budget, but I've had terrible experiences with them and would prefer not to do business with them again.

Thanks!

Thanks Joel!

I was hoping to rent something just for our trip. I have no sense of how good a deal that is, but $1100 bucks is still eleven hundred bucks and storing it will be an issue for me.

PM me

I think I can help you out.

I have a 5x8 utility with a spare tire and a diamond plate storage chest on the front. 2" ball.

Looks just like this EXCEPT it does NOT have the ramp. You'll need one. Mine will work for the 650 but not the Adventure. Weight issue for the ramp.

I have to work else I would likely go with you on the trip. Least I can do is be there in spirit!

You would need to pick up in Folsom at my work or at my home in Diamond Springs. Schedule dependent.

Here are my terms: You break it, you buy it. You damage it, you fix it. Mmmmmm, yea, that oughta do it!

You'll need straps and/or chocks as well as I only have flush mount tie points Yes, it will fit both bikes no problem.

Yeah, Uhaul. You can probably hook something up for about $30/day if the loaner doesn't pan out. They rent a single bike trailer for $14/day I use when I need to drop the 950 at the shop and don't want to bother anyone for a ride back.

that's because they always give you threadbare tires and no spare.

Bearing grease? What's that?

Uhaul, get the 5x8 galvanized, a little heavy but solid and works great.

I have a 16' enclosed trailer here in SF if you want to take it.
Just got back from DV with 4 bikes and camping gear.
2 KLR's a DRZ and an 1100GS, with room to spare.
