This was my first time at Perry so I have no reference of how the trails were. Oddly enough none of the mud holes were too deep. The spots where I thought it would be dry I got stuck and vice versa. It would go from muddy to dusty within 15ft. lol After I dropped pressure I felt a lot safer. Before that I was an emergency room trip waiting to happen. I guess 35lbs is too much. lol

Trails had more mud then last time we were there but not real bad. We did find one hill that had a rut that was over the pegs and real long. I think the tree roots are the biggest ass kicker. They are all over the place and real slick. There is for sure alot of trails there. Way more then you can ride in one day. We were the only ones there all day. I may show up down there saturday.

I was just checking that thing out... $269 bucks? ouch. I guess you have to pay for the KLIM name. ;)

I need full protection! I beat the hell out of my whole body this past weekend. Especially my knees, thighs, elbows, and hands. :(

as I recall, you have to wear a helmet for the first 12 months you have your endorsement...and I have the ticket to prove it.

I'm a Klim Poser, but I bought most of it used off the flea market for nearly half price. Lots of good deals to be had if you strike quickly. I like the quality and fit of their gear, much of the other stuff didn't fit well or didn't last.

A while ago, I was touring Iron Pony with EJV and picked up a dirt helmet, full armor jersey/suit and kneepads for a very reasonable price thanks to the bargain center. I think I maybe had 80 bucks or less in all the armor.

KTM TLC will hold down the $$$. It usually just involves fawning over it, touching only if necessary.

Once again Luke - how's day 17 on the swing arm bolt?

Have you tried flipping the bike up-side-down, ala a bicycle, grab 5-6 fresh hacksaw blades and have at it between the frame and the swingarm?
And some PantherPiss, aka PB Blaster, for the smoking steel.

Don't ask why I know this technique. . . Also, I have seen one burly man hack saw off a Cheng Shin knobby once - I think he was mad enough (and man enough) to have torn the tire off.

Always best to be ahead of the (maintenance) curve.

Took a Ferris Bueller day from work and spent much of the day at the local MX Park / Raceway. It had dried up nicely, and I wore myself out playing on the GP course and MX track.

The GP course is about 4 miles, not sure how big the MX track is but part of it is built into a hillside and has a lot of elevation change. It's only about 8 miles from the house and $15 bucks a day to practice. Other than the owner doing maintenance on his land, I was the only person there from 11AM - 3:30PM.

This little guy watched me go slow around the course for a few laps, but quickly got bored and left.

Dust Control duty for a Deuce and a Half.

Great day and beautiful weather.
