Yeah. Around 300. + shipping. I don't need to wheelie that bad...

Let me know if/when you head over, I'd like to join you. BuildIT has been wanting to go too. Maybe he can ride his 950SE over too.

Those hills are pretty steep and I'd like to see how you handle them on the 950. ;)

Momentum is your friend.

That's pretty far out there though. A decent ways further than the Hatfield McCoy system, which I've always assumed to be the pinnacle of trail riding in this side of the country. I assume ya'll are thinking about going there just for the 'new and different' experience? Or is there something special about Red Bird?

(I do realize Gorman said it's on his way to several places, which makes sense)

I think mostly new and different. Redbird is state run and they actually do a pretty good job at maintaining the trails and facilities. Of course they claim to be the premier ORA in Midwest. I haven't been to a whole lot of places to compare to though.

Hatfield McCoy is on my to-do list also. ;)

and as far as hill climbing goes I have trouble keeping the front end down..
I'm sure it's a combination of things I'm doing wrong though. :(

Red Bird is a small place, compared to Hatfield/McCoy. I haven't been, but from what I have seen and read it's nicer than anything in Ohio but that's not saying much. It's cheaper than Hatfield, H/M costs $50 for the permit (which is good all year, but there's no lesser fee to ride). Redbird is $10 I think? Anyway, H/M's networks are enormous there's nothing really like them.

I'm going to H/M this fall. I thought about Redbird till I looked at how far over it is. I wouldn't go that far across Indiana unless Kate Beckinsale was waiting naked with a plate of bacon for me to show up.

Whitey, you don't look like Kate Beckinsale. I've heard red Bird as an awsome place from enduro guys on Thumper Talk. Someday I'll make the trip I guess. Hope they don't make Ohio riders illegal before then.

Did you type your search query in Austrian? That helps.
