I just cancelled my Best Western reservation. It's pouring down rain here in Troy and only 44 degrees. I'll monitor the weather and maybe shoot for Sunday. :(

A crash I assisted on for OSP just south of Georgetown this morning:

.

There were two police officers that probably would not have been able to get out of this car if it weren't for civilian passers-by.

Make sure goggles and gloves are on the menu too. I went a few years ago with a friend who likes to ride in clear safety glasses and he forgot his gloves. They weren't happy about one of them and kicked him off for the other. I forget which was the final straw.

If I didn't live almost 4 hours from Crow I'd go. Just sucks cause I burnt my last vacation day today in order to drive over.
Oh well, guess I'll have time to edit some more videos. ;)

You headed to Matt's?

Thanks for the warning. I like safety glasses as well. I guess I'll dig the goggles out.

sion , have you checked the central flea market ads lately? There are a bunch of xr parts listed, maybe something you could use.

Looks like rain and mid 40s for Sat/Sun here at home and up in Uhrichsville. I'll see what it looks like when I get up in the am but I'm leaning toward skipping Crow based on the weather.

Whats the story here?

Pursuit?

Random crash?

What speeds?

Not a pursuit, they were headed to court. A pickup truck turned left in front of them. From what I could gather at the scene, a woman and her boyfriend were behind the cruiser when the crash happened. The woman got out to help, her boyfriend stayed in the car, "didn't want to get involved". The woman went to the cruiser when she saw it catch fire, but the officers were semi- conscious and unresponsive, and both front doors were jammed shut. She was trying to pull the door open, and another driver stopped and climbed through the window of the cruiser and mule-kicked the door open. The woman and the other driver got both officers out on the roadside, and a squad member enroute to his squad stopped at the scene to do first aid. The first squad on scene called for air care, but the chopper couldn't fly for high winds and low cloud cover. Both officers had bloody head wounds, one had a broken jaw, the other had two broken legs and possible internal injury. The driver of the pickup was assisted by other passers-by. He had airbag and seatbelt injuries.
