And a Taurus Slim 9mm for me.

Looking forward to a review of the SR9c.

Hang in the Meef, Things have been very hush hush at my work, and I pretty sure something is going to happen real soon. To what extent I'm not sure but, I am a firm beliver that when one door closes another one opens and it's usually the one that is best for me wether I like it or not.

Unless they get this fiscal cliff thing resolved before the first of the year, my wife will be automatically laid off as a non essential employee at NASA. My work will probably dry up a bit too because of the Federal funding cuts to the cities. I did pick up some more IT work clients. I really don't care for IT work, but it pays the bills.

Yep, pretty the truth when you work at the whims of congress, and their funding. I've been "retired" a few times before, the problem is it doesn't last. I like it better when it happens in the warmer months though.

Been there Meef, It Sucks, Hang in there, I wish you all the best.keep in mind they are still looking for Police/LE Trainers over here. maybe a 60/30 rotation or 60/60. Not to bad inside the wire, occasional inbound rocket (small rocket-big area). car bomber at the entrance or outside village. Beautiful mountain vistas to gaze upon. If the desert is not your cup of tea then by all means look to Africa! Stability Operations are increasing rapidly in that region. It's the next happening place!

On the Lighter Side;
This pearl of history may have escaped you.

History of the Condom
I've always been a student of history but I didn't know this. In 1272, the Arabic Muslims invented the condom, using a goat's lower intestine.

In 1873, the British refined the idea by taking the intestine out of the goat first.

Don't thank me; I do this as a public service for the advancement of education.
FYI: I did not run this through Snoops but I got it from a friend that I totally trust.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I got a 5 pin sight for my bow and a nice set of drill bits just to start it off.
Probably not the kind of bike you were asking about, but the wife surprised me with a single speed road bike. A big box of goodies for the KTM should be delivered by Brown Santa in the next few days.

We'll see how this one holds out, it's a rather inexpensive bike from Amazon but had great reviews. Wanted a nice single speed for running around town, but bike theft in Athens is pretty bad... so a bike cheap enough to be replaced yearly if stolen was the right fit for the job.

Probably invest in an entry-level flat bar road bike in the spring, looking at the Cannondale Quick 6.
